Syntax highlighting in tabs#45

Syntax highlighting doesn’t currently work in tabs/tab groups. It would be a handy feature to have, for example we use it to show how to do something in different languages/syntaxes.

Yep, using the native atlassian code snippets :)

Hey, any update on getting this scheduled? This is a major missing piece for us, we’re probably going to stop using tabs if the syntax highlighting doesn’t work

We investigated this shortly after you raised it and found the issue to be with the way that Atlassian is passing styling of their macros. The good news is that while this is complex, the team does believe that it can be improved/fixed and we have a ticket ready for the next sprint to try do so. We can’t give an exact date when we’ll release the update but we hope to release it soon.
